Brian Fruscione, of West Concord, passed away peacefully at home on March 29th at age 59 following complications from Alzheimer’s disease.
Brian was born on June 21, 1966 to the late Albert Angelo Fruscione of Concord and Edith Fruscione currently of Westford, MA.
Those who knew Brian remember him as a “ray of light”, his warmth, and his ability to bring joy simply by being himself. He appreciated familiar routines, his “Jobs”and the friendly faces. Brian’s life was enriched by strong family bonds and the support of a caring community that walked alongside him throughout the years.
For decades, Brian was a beloved fixture in town. Known for his walks through town, he was a familiar and welcome face at his favorite local haunts, including Dunkin’ and the 99 Restaurant. To Brian, these were places to connect with his neighbors and share a smile.
For 30 years, Brian was a dedicated member of the West Concord Union Church. He was an avid member of the church’s fellowship group, where his warmth and presence were felt by all. Brian lived life with the purest of joy, he was the first one on the dance floor, the first to start a song, and the happiest when surrounded by his many friends. He loved a big turkey leg at Thanksgiving, often shouting out” I am the king of the forest”.
In his younger years, Brian was a fierce and decorated competitor. He poured his energy and determination into the Special Olympics, where he excelled in swimming, track and field, and bowling.
His life stands as a reminder that kindness is easy to give, connection matters deeply, and that a meaningful life is measured by the love we give without hesitation or reservation. Drink a mountain Dew or a large Dunkin’s coffee in honor of his love of the small treasures in life.
Brian is lovingly remembered by his family, friends, roommates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a cherished uncle who loved his family with a big heart, especially his nieces and nephews (Amelia, Evan, Marissa and Jackson) who he treasured. He leaves behind his mother, Edith Fruscione and his brother and sister Doug and Brenda and his in-laws Scot and Julia.
A funeral service will be held at the West Concord Union Church, 1317 Main Street, Concord on Saturday April 25th at 11:00AM. A Zoom option will also be available for those who wish to attend the service remotely: Live Stream Link
