Brenton J. Allen, age 50, of Carlisle, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 6th at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was the devoted husband of Elizabeth Lee (Breed) Allen.
Born at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina on September 29, 1965, he was the beloved son of Ronald Charles and Elizabeth Jo (Buckley) Allen of Vienna, VA. In his youth, he attended Vienna Public Schools.
Brent completed his undergraduate degree at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. While in his junior year, he studied abroad at Oxford University in England where he was voted class president by his peers. He attended William and Mary Law School in Williamsburg, Virginia and later received his Tax Law degree from Boston University.
In 1992, he met Elizabeth at the Head of the Charles in Boston and subsequently proposed to her while in Austria. They wed in 1998 and enjoyed seventeen years of love and happiness.
A Carlisle resident for the past seven years, he was currently an Attorney for Deutsche Bank in Boston.
Brent fully embraced his life and his family. He had a fantastic sense of humor, loved the outdoors and the beaches of Maine, and was an amazing public speaker. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a talented woodworker. Above all, he was incredibly devoted to his family and would do anything to make his children smile.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Lisle Gilster Allen and Henry Breed Allen, both of Carlisle, his sister, Lynne Cleary and her husband Edward of Scarborough, ME, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 10 am in the Carlisle Congregational Church, 147 School Street, Carlisle.
Burial will follow at Green Cemetery, Carlisle.
Immediately following the burial services, a reception will be held at the Carlisle Congregational Church.
