Braydon (Brad) Charles Guild, age 61, of Concord passed away on Saturday, May 7th at Lahey Hospital in Burlington. He was the devoted husband for 31 years of Lena Guild.
Born in Cincinnati, OH, on June 9, 1954, he was the son of the late Norman and Shirley Guild.
Brad was a molecular biologist who made significant contributions to the scientific community, including advancements in RNA transcript therapy for the treatment of rare diseases.
He was the Head of International Operations at Ethris in Munich, Germany. He graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in Biology and completed his PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology at Harvard University in 1984.
Brad had a love of art, music, carpentry, and antiques. He was an avid collector of Darwin's works and a true nature enthusiast.
He was known by his family, colleagues, and many friends for his wonderful sense of humor and warm generosity. Brad was happiest when he was sharing stories, sipping fine wine, and teasing his daughters. He could grill the perfect steak. Brad will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend.
In addition to his wife, Lena, he is survived by his daughters, Danielle, Nicole, and Kate Guild, all of Concord, and his brother, Ronald Guild of Methuen. He was also the brother of the late Chip Guild.
Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord, MA are Friday, May 13th from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 14th at 11 am in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Bedford St., Concord, MA.
