Bradford S. Kingman, of Acton and formerly of Concord, died suddenly and unexpectedly on August 17, 2012. Beloved husband of 51 years to Christine (Jones) Kingman. Devoted father of Philip and his wife Susan of Concord, Bradford and his wife Wendy of Freetown, MA and David and his wife Katelin of Riverside, RI. He cherished his grandchildren Jackson, Catherine and Briana. Whatever activities that they might be involved in, he was certain to be present on the side lines or in an auditorium offering his support and encouragement. He is also survived of his sisters, Jane McDonough of Simsbury, CT and Ann Valpey of Durham, NH. Bradford was born June 4, 1934 and was a 1956 graduate of Wesleyan University. He served in the Navy for 4 years from 1956-1960. In the fall of 1960, he started a career at Middlesex School which ended with his retirement in 1999. It is at Middlesex where many of his life- long relationships began and flourished over a nearly 40 year career. He was a teacher, coach, dorm parent, administrator, assistant headmaster, senior master, and friend and advisor to many. Golf had a special place in his heart and was the golf coach for 14 years. The ISL Golf Championship Kingman Bowl was named in his honor. He honed his golf skills at the Concord Country Club where he had been a member since 1972. He volunteered on many committees and held many board positions including president from 1985-1987. He also served as a board member at the Fenn School from 1977-1983.
