Bonnie J. Gavaghan passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of July 8, 2023 at Emerson Hospital. Declining health had plagued Bonnie.  However, she always remained hopeful to return to her beloved cat, Maya.

Bonnie was born on April 2, 1956 in Marlborough, Massachusetts, an only child raised by her late mother Phyllis (Brown) Gavaghan. Bonnie, an LPN, touched many lives during her career in both the Long Term Care setting and in her true passion, the Acute Rehab areas of care. Bonnie adored the ocean and loved trips to the beach, even on the less warm and sunny days. She had an eclectic eye for fashion and enjoyed shopping, even if online. Few things brought Bonnie more joy than a sharp outfit for a nice dinner out with friends in a beachy setting.

Bonnie is survived by her cherished cat, Maya; devoted friend, Carol Dalton and her husband David of Concord MA, as well as their children: Shannon of Boston, MA, Sean and Brian of Concord, MA. Bonnie is also survived by her friend and loving companion, Barry Smiraglia, and his daughter Kari, who brought great joy to her life.

Services for Bonnie will be determined at a future date.
