Beverly J. (Johnson) Huston, 83, of Concord died Friday May 19, 2017 in Sudbury. She was the beloved wife of 40 years of the late David Straw Huston who died in 2016. Born in New Britain, Connecticut on February 28, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Rudolph M. and Mildred E. (Larson) Johnson. Mrs. Huston received a Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University and later a Masters of Education from University of Massachusetts, Lowell. She worked as a physical therapist and later taught English as a second language. She became a resident of Concord in the early 1960's and was a long time member of the First Parish in Concord where she sang in the Church Choir. Survivors include her daughter Sandra Andreson of Maynard and son Gary Brackett and his wife Betsey of West Chesterfield, NH. She was the stepmother of Peter D. Huston and his wife Barbara DeSousa of Hiram, ME, and the late Janet F. Huston. She also leaves her grandchildren Ryan Brackett, Elizabeth Coard and her husband Mackie, and Kate Brackett. She was the sister of the late Lorraine Kelly and Philip Johnson. A memorial service will be held on Sunday June 4, 2017 at the First Parish in Concord, 20 Lexington Rd., Concord Center at 3:00 pm. Reception to follow at the church. Private interment will be in the family burial plot in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord. Arrangements are under the care of the Dee Funeral Home of Concord.
