Bertha E. "Betty" Sorrenti, 88, a lifelong Concord resident, died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her Concord home with her family by her side. Born in Concord on March 22, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Bertha (Zanghi) Sorrenti. She attended Concord Public Schools during her youth. For many years, Betty worked for several Concord families and was also employed by the Colonial Inn in the 1950's. She had an unwavering devotion to caring for her family, and also loved gardening and music. Survivors include her sister, Virginia Hamilton of Concord as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anthony, Joseph, James, Salvatore Jr., Mary and Margaret Sorrenti, Josephine Gangloff, and Dorothy Sowders. A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27th from 8:30 to 9:45 am in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the care of the Dee Funeral Home of Concord.
