Audrey Lee (Parke) Christian passed away peacefully on September 12, 2012, in Pineville, Louisiana after a long illness. Born into the well-known Parke family of Concord, Audrey came of age in the historic Timothy Minot House on Bedford Street where she lived with her parents, the late John Henry Parke and Anna Luhaink Parke and four siblings. Audrey attended the Concord Public Schools and graduated from Concord-Carlisle Regional High School in 1973. She was a popular, gregarious and spirited presence through school and around town. After graduated high school, Audrey worked for the Middlesex Insurance Company of Concord. Later she was employed as a dispatcher for the Barrington Haulage Company of Billerica. Married to Robert 'Ton' Barrington of Carlisle in 1983, the couple moved to Holly Springs, North Carolina where they lived happily for many seasons. After her divorce in 1997, Audrey then moved to Pineville, Louisiana where she married Douglas Christian and again worked in the transportation industry. She lived in Louisiana until her death this week. Towards the end, Audrey found peace and rest working in her vegetable and flower gardens at home. She enjoyed the company of a large circle of family and friends, both old and new, and her special Facebook and Farmville friends all over the world. Audrey is survived by her husband Teddy Douglas Christian of Pineville, LA, sister Leslie and husband Charles Whitehead of Hubbardston, MA, brother John and his wife Nancy of Partlow, VA, brother Dana of Weston, MA, and her beloved Min Pin Michael. She was also the sister of the late Jacqueline Parke Hayward. She was loved. She will be missed. Services: Private to be held at a later date.
