Attorney Gerald B. Gallagher, 78, of Acton, formerly of Concord died Monday July 4th in Concord. Born in Watertown on March 18, 1933 he was the son of the late Herman J. and Winifred F. (Garvey) Gallagher. He attended Concord schools, and was a graduate of Boston College High School, Boston College and later Boston College Law School. From 1958 until 1961 he served in the United States Navy. For over 40 years Mr. Gallagher was a well known and benevolent attorney in the Concord and Acton areas. He was a member of the Musketaquid Sportsman Club in Concord and served on the Acton Democratic Town Committee. He also was a member of the former Concord Kiwanis Club and the former Concord Council #287 Knights of Columbus, serving as head chef at many St. Patrick\'s Day Dinners. Survivors include three brothers, Joseph A. Gallagher and his wife Mary of Spanish Springs, Nevada, Rev. John E. Gallagher of Farmington, Maine and Rev. David F. Gallagher of Waltham. He is also survived by a niece and nephews. Funeral will be held Friday July 8th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 10 am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center at 11 am. Interment will follow in the family burial plot in St. Patrick\'s Cemetery, Watertown. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home, will be on Thursday July 7th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
