Antonia (Ammendolia) "Tootie" Lombardo, 93, of Boxborough, formerly of Acton and Concord died Wednesday, October 28th at Miriam Boyd Parlin Residence in Wayland. She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo J. Lombardo who died in 2003. They were married in 1947. Born in Concord on January 23, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Antonino and Grace (Cucinotta) Ammendolia. She attended Concord public schools, and graduated from Concord High School. As a youth, she worked on the family owned and operated Pine Tree Farm in Concord. Mrs. Lombardo helped in the development and operations of Lombardo Loam and Gravel in Acton with her late husband and son Mark. She was a longtime Concord resident before moving to Acton in 1975 and Boxborough in 1999. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, gardening and traveling. Survivors include her children, Marie Lombardo of Boxborough, Mark Lombardo and his wife Amy Lothrop of Acton, and Grace Richards of Littleton, 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 6 great granddaughters, 1 great grandson, 2 sisters, Anna D'Italia of Maynard and Angela "Lucky" Blanchette of Concord. She was also the sister of the late Dominic Ammendolia, John Ammendolia, Samuel Ammendolia, Anthony "Junior" Ammendolia and Josephine "Jojo" Ammendolia and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Frederick Lombardo who died in 2013. Funeral will be held on Monday, November 2nd at 10 am from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours are Sunday, November 1st from 6 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the care of the Dee Funeral Home of Concord.
