Anne (Gannon) Gallagher, a Concord resident since 1968, died at home under hospice care on August 12, 2021.
She was born in Washington, D.C. as the daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Elam) Gannon.
Anne was employed by Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington D.C. as an Assistant Librarian. In 1959, she married her former husband, John R. Gallagher, III. Prior to settling in Concord, the couple resided in Fairfax, Virginia for eight years. A devout catholic, Anne was a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in West Concord, where she also participated regularly in bible study groups. She was also a former member of the West Concord Women's Club.
Anne leaves behind her son, Paul Gallagher of Concord, her daughter, Mary Gallagher of South Lyon, MI, one sister, Bernadette Judge of Fairfax, VA, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Catherine Lavins, Gilbert, George, Joseph, Paul, Patricia and Martha Gannon.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a period of visitation on Wednesday, August 18th from 9:30 to 10:45 am in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Anne's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
