It is with great sorrow and heartache that we announce the passing of Anna A. Belak on July 22nd, 2024 in Concord, MA, from a rare and extremely aggressive type of breast cancer.

She is survived by husband Joe Rappaport, daughters Nika and Ariella, mother Maija M. Kukla, father Aleksander Belak, brother Mark Belak, grandmother Iraida Kukla, parents-in-law David and Jackie Fitch, and brother-in-law John Fitch. She was beloved by her many extended relatives, including her Dubinsky and Steingold cousins, and her Fitch and Wvong in-laws.

Anna was born on March 21st, 1986 in Riga, Latvia. In 1996 she moved to the United States with her mother, brother and grandmother. She was raised in Riga, Michigan, and Washington DC. She earned a bachelor's degree in Physics from Virginia Tech, and a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Anna worked in cybersecurity at Gartner and Sysdig. While Anna was a gentle and devoted mother, she was also interested in travel, photography and community.

Relatives and friends will gather for visiting hours at Dee Funeral Home at 27 Bedford Street, Concord, MA on Saturday, July 27th, from 10 am to 12 pm.
