Angelina M. "Angie" (Scimone) Scimone, age 84, of Concord, died peacefully Thursday, October 8th at her Concord home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 43 years of the late Antonino "Tony" Scimone who died in 2011 and the devoted daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Donato) Scimone.
Angie was born in the family home on Old Bedford Road in Concord on July 9, 1931 where her family still owns and operates The Frank Scimone Farm and where she was active as a second generation farmer. Throughout the years, she especially enjoyed interacting with the farm's loyal customers.
She was educated in the Concord Public Schools, was a 1951 graduate of Concord High School and later a 1954 graduate of Bryant & Stratton Secretarial School where she received an Associate degree in Business. For several years she was employed as a Secretary at Haymarket Hardware in Boston's Haymarket Square.
A lifelong Concord resident, she was a talented piano player. She also loved animals, especially her dog Reed and her three cats.
She was the loving mother of Roseann and Grace Scimone, both of Concord. She was also the dedicated sister of Frank Scimone, also of Concord and the late Antonino and Domenica Scimone.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday Oct. 13th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 10 am, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
Burial will follow in the family burial plot in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord.
Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be on Monday Oct. 12th from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm.
