Angela "Angie" Neal, 64, of Concord, MA, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024 after living many years with Alzheimer's Disease.

She is survived by her wife of 20 years, Jean Goldsberry, of Concord, MA. She is also survived by her brother, Gregory Neal and his wife, Robin of Wimberley, Texas, a nephew, Bryan and his wife, Dianna, of Cambridge, England, and a niece, Taylor, and her husband Brad of Houston, Texas, as well as five great grandnephews and grandnieces.

Angie was born on September 12, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas and was the daughter of Jack and Joan Neal. When Angie was in high school, her family moved from Kansas to Connecticut then Massachusetts. She graduated from Holliston High School and Westboro State University. She also had a Masters of Human Service Management from UMass Boston. Her work life centered around services for people with disabilities, and she worked for many years for Mass Rehab Commission as a Program Specialist focusing on people with traumatic brain injuries. After moving to Concord, Angie worked at Minute Man Arc.

Angie was a sports enthusiast, both watching her beloved Red Sox and New England Patriots and playing many sports. In high school, she threw discus and javelin. She loved racquetball and golf and was a huge fan of bowling. Angie and Jean loved traveling and went to Hawaii, Key West, Sedona, San Diego, Albuquerque, Dublin, and many trips to the Midwest to visit family.

Angie also loved to entertain and often hosted dinners and Canasta parties with friends.

The most notable thing about Angie was her kindness and desire to serve others, whether it was helping at volunteer events like cooking for Open Table, helping at a Habitat for Humanity build day, washing endless dishes at Goodwill's Thanksgiving Dinner for the community, or mowing lawns for friends and neighbors. After being diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2016, she volunteered for two clinical studies and told her friends, "I know this won't help me, but if it helps even one other person, it's worth it."

Relatives and friends will gather to celebrate Angie's life during a memorial service at West Concord Union Church, 1317 Main Street, Concord on Saturday, July 13 at 2 pm. A reception will follow.
