Andrew F. 'Frank' Giles, of Waltham, formerly of Concord, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at his home. He was the beloved husband for 58 years of Mary (Florio) Giles. Born in Waltham on Aug. 6, 1929 he was the son of the late Patrick and Delia Giles. He attended Waltham public schools. During the Korean Conflict, he served as a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army. For over 50 years, prior to his retirement, Mr. Giles worked as a Machinist at Artisan Industries in Waltham. In later years, he worked in the Maintenance Department of the Lowell Cabot Mill in Waltham, served as Deputy Sheriff for Middlesex County and was the owner of Giles Real Estate in Waltham. A longtime Waltham resident, he enjoyed gardening and working around in his beautiful yard. In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by 2 sons, Andrew F. Giles, Jr. and his wife Patrice of Lunenburg and Shawn Giles of Rowley, 1 daughter, Darlene Prendergast and her husband William of Brentwood, New Hampshire, 3 grandchildren, Stacey Giles, Andrew F. Giles III and Allison Prendergast, 2 brothers, Jack Giles and his wife Gloria of Florida and James Giles and his wife Jeanette of Waltham, 1 sister, Mary Bozak of Waltham, his sister-in-laws and brother-in-law, Margaret and Carmen Spinelli of Concord and Eileen Murphy of Stow and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late David Giles.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 17th at 10 AM in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
