Obituary

Amelia Frances Weiksnar Caruso, age 20, lifelong resident of Carlisle, died unexpectedly, Saturday, December 26th. Born in Carlisle on January 20, 1989 she was the beloved daughter of Jeffrey L. Caruso and Melissa M. Weiksnar, both of Carlisle. She attended Nashoba Brooks School in Concord, Heatherton House School in England, Newton Country Day, Carlisle public schools and graduated from The Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro in 2007. She attended St. Louis University and most recently was a nursing student at Boston College. Amy was an enthusiastic runner and an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Philip J. W. Caruso of Cambridge and her sister, Evelyn M. W. Caruso of Chicago, IL, her grandparents, T. Paul and Helen J. Weiksnar of Williamsville, NY, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also the granddaughter of the late Antonio and Pearl Caruso, formerly of Concord, MA. Visiting hours were held on Wednesday, December 30th from 1 to 3:30 and 6 to 9 PM at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. A Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 31st at 10 AM in St. Irene's Church, 181 East Street, Carlisle. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to MSPCA - Angell Methuen, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130 or to GLRR Youth Development Fund, P. O. Box 1314, Lowell, MA 01852 (Greater Lowell Road Runners).
