Adelina E."Lee" (Lombardo) McGarry, 85, of Concord died Thursday June 30, 2011 in Billerica. She was the beloved wife of 59 years of the late John McGarry Sr. Born in Concord on August 19, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Charles Lombardo and Vincenza (Prestipino) Lombardo. She attended Concord schools and was a 1943 graduate of Concord High School. Mrs. McGarry was formerly employed at the Concord switchboard office of the New England Telephone and Telegraph Co., and also as an assembler at Raytheon in Waltham. She also worked in the cafeteria at several schools in the Concord Public School system. More recently she was an administrative assistant for Dr. Vaughan Lloyd and later Dr. Jeff Robichaud, Chiropractors in West Concord. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and canning. She was the mother of John McGarry Jr. and his wife Debbie of Acton, William McGarry and his wife Maria of Lowell and Thomas McGarry and his wife Jackie of Camden, SC. She was also the grandmother of John III, Christine, Jamie, Cailey and Michael, step-grandmother of Jesse Dexter and Amy Lohr and sister of Michael Lombardo of Maynard, Jeannette Giles of Waltham, Virginia Whitney of Maynard and the late Charles Lombardo Jr., Maria Giombetti, Carmela Lombardo and Rose Wallace. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Memorials: Contributions in her memory may be made to Emerson Healthcare Foundation, 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, Concord, MA 01742. Cemetery: Interment will follow in the family burial plot in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord. Visitation: Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be on Wednesday July 6th from 4 to 8 pm. Service: Funeral will be held Thursday July 7th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 10 am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord at 11 am.
